Aplin Martin provided Civil Engineering consultant services, including project administration, detailed design, construction services and erosion and sediment control services for the Ronald McDonald House BC at the BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital.
Ronald McDonald House is home to approximately 75 families and includes common spaces, fitness facilities, kitchen and dining areas, laundry facilities, library resources, office areas, educational space, computer areas, underground parking stalls, storage rooms, and outdoor play areas. Aplin Martin’s design included site grading, water servicing, sanitary servicing, onsite storm, sustainable features, and Erosion and Sediment Control. Part of the sustainable design includes rain gardens, permeable paving, green space, and storm treatment device help achieve the design standards of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
