Aplin Martin is the lead consultant providing Engineering and Planning services for the Hazelmere Residential Expansion project situated on a 52 Hectare (129 Acre) site in in the Hazelmere Valley of South Surrey. The project is being developed by the Hazelmere Golf & Tennis club on lands owned by the club just south of the existing golf course at 0 Avenue at 184thStreet. The project expands on an existing residential area developed by the club on lands to the north near 8th Avenue in the early 2000’s.
As part of the project, the applicant is proposing to develop 145 suburban single family lots, while setting aside over half the site (35.6 Hectares / 88 Acres) for agricultural, golf course, parks, and open space use. The project proposes a number of enhancements to improve the agricultural capability of the lands, as well as an inclusion of 1.6 Hectares (3.9 Acres) of land into the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR).
