Bonnie Doon

Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre is one of Edmonton's first malls with construction first occurring in the 1960's. As a result, numerous expansions and modifications have occurred over the years. This resulted in the need to diligently collect as-builts and confirm existing site infrastructure as well as finding abandoned infrastructure during construction.

Starting in 2017, Morguard Investments Limited engaged Aplin Martin to provide a servicing brief for the eventual redevelopment of this mall. This included a servicing brief outlining existing and proposed infrastructure to accommodate site development. With plans for approximately 4000 residents and limited discharge allowances, this complex servicing brief mapped out future infrastructure requirements on and offsite as well as accommodated for the complicated staging options that needed to accommodate for the existing mall to be operational as development occurred.

Aplin Martin has also been involved in improvements to parking lot and access modifications as a result of the east property line shifting to accommodate the LRT.
