Current Projects

Lab and Medical Imaging Expansion Project, Delta Hospital, Delta, BC

Reconfiguration of existing utility services as well as the realignment and enlargement of the parking area to suit the new layout around the Lab and Medical Imaging building expansion. A new temporary parking area is also being designed for use during construction.

Larco Investments, North Vancouver, BC

A mixed-use development project to be incorporated as part of the Marine Drive Village Centre. This project includes a new road designed as a pedestrian friendly connection between Fullerton and Curling Road in North Vancouver.  New utility connections, street upgrades (curbs and boulevards, new signal controlled intersection at Capilano Road and Curling Ave. and bike infrastructure upgrades are all included in the design.

Indigenous World Winery, West Kelowna, BC

Aplin Martin was retained by the Westbank First Nations to develop over 100 acres of commercial and tourism sites. Amenities include a winery and vineyards, distillery, brewery, spring water plant, wine cellaring cave/welcome centre, a natural amphitheatre seating 700 concert goers, a boutique hotel/casino and multiple shopping areas.

Proximal Highway reconfiguration, sloping site conditions and poor natural soils pose significant development challenges. The scope includes proforma/conceptual layouts, municipal upgrades, preliminary and detailed design, as well as field inspection services. The project is ongoing and will be a key tourism destination on the west side.

Kelowna Police Service Building, Kelowna, BC

Civil engineering design of new services to city mains, storm water design for infiltration and detention, parking lot grading, and geometric Offsite services include new curb, boulevard and sidewalk fronting the site.

Lougheed Core Area Master Plan, Burnaby, BC

Master planning civil engineering services for the Lougheed Core Area, including technical input into services and functional road designs, integrated storm water management systems and sustainable features, and an implementation strategy.

Lougheed Town Centre Redevelopment, Burnaby, BC

Aplin Martin was retained for the purposes of design of civil engineering services for the first phase of the redevelopment project and the design of sustainable infrastructures including road upgrades and extensions.

Northland Shopping Centre, Calgary, AB

DP and Storm Water Report work for the $250 million redevelopment of the Northland Shopping Centre project. Aplin Martin is working with various team disciplines to also complete DSSP design services for this project.

Strathmore Shopping Centre, Strathmore, AB

Complete onsite civil engineering services for a proposed 1.69 hectare commercial retail shopping centre in Strathmore Alberta by Rencor Developments Inc. Site will have 6 CRU buildings for a total of 43,000 square feet of space.

Market Mall, NW Calgary, AB

Retained by Cadillac Fairview to complete DP and DSSP civil engineering services for the expansion of Market Mall. Additional services includes the revising the existing parking and infrastructure.

South bank, Calgary, AB

Aplin Martin has been retained to provide DP, DSSP and sanitary capacity analysis report for the South Bank development by Opus. The site in the Inglewood community is 0.27 hectares with 80,000 square feet of space over 5 levels, and includes 2 levels of underground parking.

Lakeview Village, West Kelowna, BC

Feasibility study, detailed design, cost estimate and construction administration of the on and offsite works. Offsite frontage upgrades include road widening, drainage improvements, and water main upgrades, to support the proposed development and increased density. Onsite works include two infiltration facilities for drainage, site servicing, and site grading, while accommodating existing buildings and future phases.

Lansdowne Centre Mixed Use Redevelopment, Richmond, BC

Master planning and civil engineering services for the major redevelopment of the 50 acre Lansdowne Centre in Richmond.  Services include feasibility studies, phasing strategies, utility corridor locations, offsite utility upgrade requirements and overall and technical input into servicing concepts and functional road designs.  Also included will be sustainable development features, and state of the art integrated storm water management systems.

Uptown  Shopping Centre, Saanich, BC

Civil engineering and survey services for this multi-phased mixed use shopping centre re-development project.  The fourth phase of this mixed use development will also include the addition of 140 residential units. The civil sustainability component includes several underground storm water detention tanks providing 760 cubic meters of storm water storage as well as cisterns for re-use of rainwater for irrigation and installation of green roofs for storm water management. Currently, design and construction is underway for the remaining two phases.
